Trimethoprim, abbreviated as TMP, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C14H18N4O3. It is a white or to light yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter in taste, slightly soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in ethanol or acetone, almost insoluble in water, and easily soluble in glacial acetic acid.
